Most people just let things happen and that includes their careers. 

It's typically only when we can't take anymore or when we think we can see some redundancy writing on the wall that we spend any time or effort thinking about our careers and what we should do next.

What did I do to deserve this? 

Probably nothing - change happens - get used to it.

Far better to plan for unpredictable change before it happens. 

The wise dig their well before the next drought. 

Protect your livelihood by learning the techniques that will enable you to manage your career proactively - in advance. 

It's far better to have a Plan B in place before Plan A goes wrong.
