Pound falls as parliament to be suspended

The government has asked the Queen to suspend Parliament just days after MPs return to work at the beginning of September to hault Brexit negotiations, resulting in the pound dropping on Wednesday.

As a result, it will mean that MPs will have little time to pass laws to stop a no-deal Brexit on 31st October.

This announcement had an instant affect on the pound, driven largely by the whole Brexit uncertainty.
